JavaScript A to Z Tutorial : Setting Up The Environment

To write JavaScript code, we have to do some preparations first. In this article, we will learn how to enable JavaScript in the browser and install a code editor.

Enable JavaScript in Browser

JavaScript is embedded in all modern browsers and is responsible for running any JavaScript code. Often when you install an internet browser on your computer, JavaScript is enabled in it. But still, we know how you can enable or disable JavaScript.

In Chrome:

1. Open Chrome, in the top right corner click on three-dot.

2. Setting → Security and Privacy → Site Setting

3. Scroll down in Content Tab → JavaScript

4. Set JavaScript Behavior. Sites can use Javascript or Don’t allow sites to use Javascript

5. We recommend you to choose “Sites can use Javascript

Almost all web browsers have a similar process to enable JavaScript. You explore a little and try to enable JavaScript in whatever browser you use.
